Dutch Want To Know Costs Of Monarchy

While the people of Britain can find out how much their monarchy costs, the Dutch are left with a mystery of much of the royal upkeeping comes out of their paychecks.

But that may all change with the demands coming from Dutch Parliament and the Dutch media.

‘Enough is enough’ is the catch phrase now. Dutch commercial television station RTL has demanded openness, and is using a law that requires government to provide the facts, to pressure the Prime Minister in disclosing all.

Princes William & Harry To Take Control Of Their Image

The British press is reporting on how Princes William & Harry are gearing up for a PR revolution of their image…all with the help of the very man who worked behind the scenes of last year’s Concert for Diana.

Geoffrey Matthews, a management consultant, is well liked by both of the princes. It will be his job to give the two men (can you believe I said that?) a new public image after both leave the services. William will be finishing up with his military training soon, and Harry may have to wait for another time to secretly serve in the forces.

This also comes at a time when both William and Harry are growing out of the hard partying lives and will be taking a more vivid role in as members of the Royal Family. It is noticable that both princes are not doing any playboy antics as they did up until recently. Harry hasn’t worn an offensive costume, or fought with photographers in recent memory, and William hasn’t been seen stumbling smashed out of a nightclub lately either. In fact, the two recent stories of the two princes have been good PR: Harry doing charity work in Lesotho and William being involved in a drug bust in the Caribbean. So, expect the press to run such stories in the future as both Prince William and Prince Harry set to take their role as Princes of the UK more seriously.
