Princess Marie of Denmark is Pregnant!

After months of rumors, the Danish court officially announced today that Prince Joachim and Princess Marie are expecting their first child together. 

This will be Marie’s first, but Joachim’s third child. The Prince already has two boys, Nikolai and Felix, from his previous marriage to Alexandra Manley.

Joachim is fourth in line to the Danish throne. He is the second son of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik.

The former Marie Cavallier is a Geneva-born, French raised businesswoman.

The royal pair married this past May, three years after Joachim’s divorce from the former Princess Alexandra. Marie did tell the media of her desire to have children of her own.

The baby is due in May, and is expected to be delivered at Copenhagen University Hospital.
