Constantine II, the former King of Greece, is currently recovering from a successful heart operation which took place over the weekend.
The surgery happened at a private hospital, Wellington Hospital in northwest London.
68 year-old Constantine’s wife, Queen Anne-Marie, issued a statement thanking people for their support.
“My family and I would like publicly to extend our gratitude and congratulations to the medical team and the staff at Wellington Hospital for successfully operating on my husband.”
The former King had a heart valve replaced and an artery unblocked during the procedure.
Constantine was King of Greece from 1964 until the country abolished the monarchy in 1973.
The ex-King lives in London with Anne-Marie and their five children.
Prince Harry spent his second and final day in New York doing more fun events than on Friday, where he laid a wreath at Ground Zero and met with war veterans.

Saturday however saw him mingle with Harlem students and participate in the sport of kings – polo.
In the morning, Prince Harry went up to Harlem with fellow royal Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to the Harlem Children’s Zone. The project offers free programs and classes to low-income children. Harry spent some time chatting with the students.
A 10-year-old girl sitting at a desk covered with drawing paper and colored markers gave Harry a picture.
“Is this for me?” Harry asked as he accepted it. Pointing to the desk and pens, he then asked, “You find yourself very lucky to have all this?” When she nodded, he replied “Good.”
After the tour of Harlem, Prince Harry geared up for an afternoon of polo. The Prince participated at the 2nd Annual Veuve Clicquot Manhattan Polo Classic on Governor’s Island, which benefited his charity, Sentebale.
Before playing, Prince Harry gave a speech about the reason for setting up Sentebale (pronounced Sen-TEE-bah-LAY) with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.
“Prince Seeiso and I both lost our mothers when we were very young. We set up Sentebale in their memory, and because my mother loved this city, it makes this occasion all the more poignant for me.”

“I won’t bore you with statistics, but please believe me when I say that Lesotho is a mere microcosm of what is so wonderful, but also so tragic about Africa today.
“This beautiful kingdom has been ravaged by HIV/AIDS and poverty, leaving thousands of children without their parents.”
After that, the Prince went out to play polo.
Members of New York’s high society turned out to see Harry, as well as several celebrities. They included Madonna, Kate Hudson, LL Cool J, Chloe Sevigny and Veronica Webb.
Prince Harry played against famed Argentinian polo player Nacho Figueras. For most of the match, Harry’s team was winning, but then a tie ensued. Luckily, Harry helped break that tie to give his team the winning trophy.
All in all, Prince Harry seemed to have had a great time in New York, and even told reporters he hoped to come back.
He also responded to the accusations that he is a bad boy and the wilder son of the Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana.
“I don’t know what the image is of me. There is always the image that’s been given to me, but people have their own opinions, it’s the media that likes to stamp on the image which isn’t really me.”
Britain’s Prince Harry is in New York City for the next 36 hours. He arrived in the Big Apple earlier today.

The third in line to the British throne is here to raise money for his charity, Sentebale, and pay his respects to those who died in the 9/11 terror attacks.
The latter was the first event on Harry’s agenda for Friday. He stopped by Ground Zero, and met with New York Governor David Patterson and a few relatives of those who were killed that day. Harry then laid wreath on the fence that surrounds the deep hole where the World Trade Center once stood. The Prince then took a step back, and bowed his head for a moment of silence.
He left a handwritten note tacked to the wreath, citing an “admiration of the courage shown by the people.”
Later on, Prince Harry moved to Hanover Square, to the renamed British Garden, to plant a magnolia bush in memory of the 67 Britons who died on 9/11.
Next, Harry would go to the Veteran’s Medical Center to tour its prosthetics lab and meet some veterans. Prince Harry himself is a veteran in a sense. He fought for 10 weeks in Afghanistan in early 2008.

Tomorrow, the Prince will go to Harlem with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho to check out community building programs. After that, he is going to take part in one of his favorite activities – playing polo on Governor’s Island.
The event which is attracting many celebrities and VIPs, will raise money for Harry’s Sentebale charity which helps children in the Lesotho, a small kingdom in southern Africa.
This visit to New York is part of a PR project to fix the Prince’s wild boy image. Despite his charity works and service in Afghanistan, Harry is best known for alcohol fueled parties and racially insensitive incidents over the years.
Even so, Prince Harry was welcomed with opened arms in New York, many of whom see his late mother, Princess Diana, in him.
“They have their slip-ups, but what do you expect? They’re young,” said Diana Zborovsky, 25, an attorney who waited with cheering crowds on a street corner for a glimpse of Harry.
Diana, who was named after the beloved Princess of Wales, said if she could say one word to the Princess’ youngest son, she would say his mother would be proud of him.
“He’s doing a great job. He and his brother could just sit back and party but they do things like this.”

Michele Bachelet arrived Monday morning, and was welcomed by Dutch Queen Beatrix.
After the welcoming ceremony, which was followed by a luncheon, Bachelet went to the University of Leiden, where the Queen and Crown Princess Maxima accompanied her.
There, Bachelet was given the Willem of Orange Medal by the Rector Magnificus of the University. The medal is given to those of high national or international importance.
Later in the evening, the Chilean President was given a state banquet at the Noordeinde Palace in the Hague. Queen Beatrix’s sister, Princess Margriet was in attendance.
During that banquet, the Queen gave a speech in regards to Bachelet’s efforts as President.
“Your visit underscores the growing number of contacts between our two countries. These take place in a wide variety of fields, ranging from cooperation in the area of ports and fisheries, to exchanges of knowledge between academics and researchers. A striking example is the agreements that have recently been signed between a number of Chilean and Dutch universities.
“In visiting several member states of the European Union, you are expressing the importance Chile attaches to strengthening its ties with our continent. For our part, we are equally eager to establish closer links. The Association Agreement your country has concluded with the EU offers numerous opportunities for such contacts. The strong expansion in trade relations seems to anticipate these developments. Moreover, Chile has made an interesting proposal to the EU concerning cooperation in developing alternative, sustainable energy sources.
“Madam President, in recent years we have seen how the people of Chile have managed to place their country’s reborn democracy above their own painful experiences in the past. We have the greatest admiration for this attitude, and for your own efforts to help Chile come to terms with its human rights legacy.”
The purpose of Bachelet’s visit is to have Chile join the International Criminal Court in the Hague. A recent change to the country’s constitution has recognized the court’s jurisdiction.
President Bachelet’s visit will end Wednesday, where she will continue on to France.
