They first visited City Hall, where they met with local ministers and signed the Golden Book.
At City Hall, the royals met with football player Lars Christiansen who gave them two jerseys as gifts.
The jerseys, it turned out, had the names of Frederik and Mary’s children printed on them!
At noon, the couple then went to Duborg-Skolen, the Danish secondary school in Flensborg. Less than hour later, they traveled to the Skovgades Børnehave kindergarten.
There, Frederik and Mary were greeted with dozens of delighted children waving Danish flags.
The kindergarteners sang “The Cheeky Little Frederik” for the Crown Prince, and asked the couple wore shoes of gold.
Frederik told the children that it would also be too cumbersome to go into shoes of real gold, because they would be too heavy.
The royal couple ended their tour at Danish Helligåndskirken (Danish Church) at around 2:30pm before heading north to home in Denmark.
