Joachim & Marie Show Their Baby Son

Less than three days after she was admitted, Princess Marie and her husband, Prince Joachim, left Copenhagen’s Rigshospitalet with their new baby boy. 

They took the opportunity to allow the press to photograph and film Denmark’s new prince, who was born in the early hours of May 4th.

The little boy slept through the entire photo-op, as his parents glowed with joy at the prospect of being new parents.

“See how the mother beams. It speaks for itself,” Prince Joachim replied to the question of what it is like to be parents.

Princess Marie said that she had it good in the hospital, but she looks forward to coming home with the little prince.

“He must speak two languages” revealed the French-born Marie.

When asked what kind of personality their son has, Joachim said he had both the mother and father’s.

After meeting with the press, Joachim and Marie took their son to Amalienborg Palace. It is not known when they will return home to South Jutland.
