The crown princely couple of Spain arrived in Bogota, Colombia Tuesday afternoon, to begin their four day official visit to the South American country.

Crown Prince Felipe and Crown Princess Letizia were greeted by President Alvaro Uribe, who had been on a state visit to Spain just one month ago.
After the welcoming ceremony, the Spanish guests went to have a private dinner with Uribe, and his wife, Lina at the presidential residence.
Tomorrow, Felipe and Letizia will lay a wreath at the monument to Simon Bolivar. Later, they will receive the keys to the city of Bogota. They will also have a meeting with Colombia’s parliament.
Thursday will see the couple with the Commission of Honor for the Bicentenary of the Independence.
Then on Friday, the prince and princess will move on to Medellin with Uribe as their escort.
Their tour of the country will end Saturday.
Media reports have been touting this visit, as it shows the warm relations between Spain and Colombia.
