Medical Exams Confirms Indonesian Model’s Allegations of Abuse

Last week, Indonesian model Manohara Odelia Pinot, claimed she had escaped her Malaysian prince husband after being abused and tortured for months by him.

Forensic experts revealed Tuesday that the teenager was telling the truth.

“There are slash wounds on many parts of her body, especially on her chest. Some are still fresh,” forensic doctor Mun’im Idries told AFP.

“We are still examining her blood and urine samples because she said she had been given jabs,” he said adding that he also found an injection mark on her back.

The 17 year-old Pinot married Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Malaysia’s Kelantan state, last year in what many in the region called a fairy-tale wedding.

But the fairy tale quickly turned into a nightmare for Pinot. She claims Fakhry treated her as a sex slave, kept her locked in her bedroom and injected drugs into Pinot to keep her from running away. The drugs made the teenager vomit blood. She even claimed Fakhry gave her the drugs before having sex with her.

“I don’t know what I had been given but I could not move. I could see, feel, hear and smell… my senses are still there but I couldn’t move,” she told TV One channel.

Pinot tried to escape at one point, but was sent back to Malaysia. She succeeded in her second attempt in May by the help of Singaporean police.

Also on Tuesday, Pinot formally filed a written report against not only Fakhry, but the sultan of Kelantan state and his wife. But the report was lodged to the Indonesian police.

“Indonesian police is not able to investigate the case as the alleged abuse took place in Malaysia which is out of our jurisdiction. But we will assist in reporting the case to Malaysian police,” said national police spokesman Abubakar Nataprawira.
