King Mohammed VI made the city of Nador his focus Thursday. In one day, he opened a facility and aimed to build another one for Morocco’s northeastern city.

First, the King celebrated the opening of a youth and children sports center, worth 2.6 million dollars. The 4 ha center has football and basketball fields, along with a track, children’s play area and a green spot.
At the same time, King Mohammed inquired about setting up another sports center in the city, this time along Nador’s coast. He intends to spend 2.8 million dollars, and to start up sports teams.
Later on, the monarch oversaw a signing ceremony for an agreement to build a landfill in Nador. The promised 9.7 million dollar project aims to develop four dump spots and a place to process garbage.
Also, King Mohammed inquired about the building of a bus station for the city of over 100,000 people. There would be 40 buses and a parking space to hold 400 vehicles. The project, worth 5 million dollars, could be completed by 2011.
