Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and Crown Princess Maxima arrived over the weekend. But their first engagement was not to mark New York’s celebrations, but to witness Willem-Alexander’s cousin’s wedding.
Bernardo Guillermo, the son of Princess Christina, Queen Beatrix’s youngest sister, married longtime love Eva Prinz in a religious ceremony at Our Lady of All Saints Church in Brooklyn. The two married in a civil ceremony back in the Netherlands this past summer.
The ceremony also included the baptism of Bernardo and Eva’s baby daughter Isabel.
Not only were Willem-Alexander and Maxima were there, but so were other Dutch royals, such as Prince Constantijn and wife Princess Laurentien.
Bernardo is said to be so secretive of his royal links, that his circle of friends were surprised to learn who exactly his wedding guests would be!
