The other day, the Dutch Prince and Princess of Orange allowed the media to photograph and film their three daughters for their annual summer photoshoot. On Thursday, it was Belgium’s Crown Prince Philippe and Crown Princess Mathilde who displayed their four children to the media during their summer trip to De Pierlapont, an educative farm in Loppem.
Philippe, Mathilde and their four children: Elisabeth, age 8, Gabriel 7 years old, Emmanuel age 5 and two year old Eleonore, spent time together feeding animals, riding horses, playing in the hay and making bread at the farm.
Princess Elisabeth, who will turn 9 later this year, is second in line to the throne behind her father. Belgium, like quite a few European countries, allows the first child – regardless of gender – to be the next monarch.
