Pierre Casiraghi, the youngest son of Monaco’s Princess Caroline, was treated at a New York City hospital following a fight at a trendy club Saturday night.
Casiraghi was at a nightspot, Double Seven in the Meatpacking district, with several friends – including Stavros Niarchos III, Vladimir Restoin Roitfeld and Diego Marroquin – when things got out of hand.
According the New York Post, Casiraghi, age 24, and his friends approached a table that had former Manhattan club owner Adam Hock and his entourage, which included several models. The group were reportedly “completely obnoxious” and had also spent $500 on vodka.
“The next thing I saw, all hell broke loose,” a witness told the paper. Hock allegedly punched Pierre, and he “flew across the room and landed on a table on the other side.”
“Pierre’s face looked broken, with deep cuts and blood everywhere,” a witness said after the fight. “He looked like he needed plastic surgery.”
Witnesses from both sides also say Casiraghi tried to hit Hock over the head with a bottle of Grey Goose vodka.
Police told People magazine, “At 2:22 a.m. Sunday police responded to a call at 63 Gansevoort Street and were met by the complainant, during which he said the defendant punched him in the face.”
Hock was arrested and arraigned at Manhattan Criminal Court Sunday.
Hock’s attorney, Sal Strazullo, told People: “How could my client be accused of attacking four men? These four men attacked my client and his friends at this restaurant/lounge, and in self defense my client defended himself and others, which under law is something he has a right to do.”
On Monday, the spokesperson for Double Seven said: “The facts are very clear. There was only one person arrested Friday night at the Double Seven, Mr. Hock, who spent two days in jail as a result from his actions. We have no further comments.”
Officials in Monaco are not commenting either.
Hock is due back in court on March 29th, while Pierre Casiraghi was released from New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center later on Saturday.

If he was released the same night then he wasn’t admitted!
Hi Karen119,
I had a misunderstanding. The fight happened after midnight on Saturday, but according to the New York Post, Casiraghi was released later in the day.

My advice to Mr. Casiraghi is “Don’t let your alligator mouth overload your canary ass”. From what I read he got exactly what he was looking for….an ass whuppin’. If, in fact he was trying to hit Mr. Hock over the head with a liquor bottle the the man had every right to defend himself.
According to: http://www.myradionetwork.net/monacos-prince-pierre-casiraghi-hospitalized-after-a-vicious-brawl-in-a-manhattan-nightclub
“… Mr Hock, 47, was partying with his friends – which included supermodels Natasha Poly, Valentina Zalyaeva and Anja Rubik – when the young prince walked up to their table at about 2.30am.
He was joined by Paris Hilton’s ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos III and two other men. According to members of Mr Hock’s group, the prince and his friends began insulting the models and started drinking from a $500 bottle of vodka on their table.
Witnesses allege that Mr Hock then punched the prince.”
Mr. Casiraghi should know to respect women, otherwise it will not be so easy for him or anyother to escape without any other punch. Casiraghi don’t have the title: prince.
